Breakfast CookSayre Mansion is a historic inn in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. We aim to provide a superlative guest experience, and this mission is what drives us. We are seeking a breakfast cook who will prepare high-quality, homemade breakfast to guests at the hotel.The Breakfast Cook is responsible for reproducing Sayre Mansions recipes for breakfast items to exact specifications for our customers and for creating new breakfast dishes for our guests to enjoy. We have built a reputation for impeccable Breakfast offerings and a successful candidate will be able to maintain that reputation. A successful candidate is also able to start work in the early morning hours as is typical for a restaurant breakfast operation.The breakfast cook works closely with our hotel management team, and has the opportunity to be part of a talented team of hospitality professionals.The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma, at least one year of prior relevant experience, and knowledge of food safety and handling requirements. Formal culinary training is highly desired. In addition, the breakfast cook must have excellent customer service skills, effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior.Responsibilities:Prepares breakfast following established recipes and procedures and maintains a high quality and consistent productFollows safety and sanitation rules and practicesCleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparationMonitors product levels and re-stocks as required, rotating goods to reduce shrinkageOrders product from approved vendors to maintain inventoryControls purchases to adhere to food cost budgetRequirements:High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma preferredOne year of relevant experienceFormal culinary training a plusExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenExcellent customer service focusKnowledge of general sanitary and safety practicesAble to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as neededAble to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
