About the Role


Express Healthcare is seeking an experienced, licensed Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead operations for a premier pharmacy partner in the Hattiesburg area. In this leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensure strict adherence to state and federal regulations, and lead a dedicated team of pharmacy staff dedicated to exceptional patient care and community wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain full regulatory compliance with the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy, DEA, HIPAA, and all applicable federal and state laws.
• Oversee daily dispensary operations, workflow efficiency, inventory management, and prescription accuracy.
• Supervise, mentor, and schedule pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, and patients to drive clinical excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Manage quality assurance programs, resolve patient inquiries or complex medication issues, and handle administrative reporting.

Job Requirements

• Licensure: Active, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Pharmacist (R.Ph.) in the State of Mississippi.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical pharmacy experience, with proven leadership or supervisory background as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager.
• Knowledge Base: Expert-level understanding of pharmacy laws, drug regulations, and pharmacy management systems.
• Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a strong patient-first mentality.
